⭐ Book Reviews & Recommendations⭐

Life is too short to spend it reading what you don't like.
Below is the list of genres I'd like to read and review:
Categories: YA & Adult - accompanied by a healthy dose of emotions!
Genres: SF and Fantasy, Paranormal (no dark stuff)
Romance - especially historical or rom-com (no erotica)
Crime, Suspense, Mystery, Thriller (including legal)
If your book falls into one of those categories, and you want me to review it, let me know through the Contact page.
If your romance is a synonym for erotica, I would not care to review it. I also wouldn't do well with rape, human or animal cruelty, dark paranormal or spiritual books.
Please note, my reviews are also posted on Goodreads and Amazon.ca

Iceman Awakens by Sharon Krasny

On September 19, 1991, in the Italian Alps, hikers discovered the mummy; the oldest cold case in history known to man. He was murdered and kept frozen for over 5,300 years when he took an arrow to his back. Over the last three decades, scientists and archeologists have studied every detail about him, trying to understand his life, society, and demise.

The above incident is a true story. It piqued the curiosity of a history teacher, Sharon Krasny, who decided to spread awareness about the Iceman by giving him a name, family, and meaning to his life. That's how the book, Iceman Awakens, came to be.

It is a heart
-wrenching story of love and betrayal, envy and deceit, good vs evil, curse vs gifted—all of it in one family, living under the same roof.
Iceman Awakens didn't disappoint. The characters were well built, consistent, yet unpredictable in their actions. The problems were real, the solutions possible, the outcome probable.

It is written at a slow pace, but the author didn't repeat herself. On the contrary, there is richness in details describing tradition, ceremonies, obligations, and expectations placed on individuals within the family; and what could happen when someone doesn't follow the rules.

It left me wondering, and after I finished reading it, I had to reread the first chapter.
It's a fictional book based on a true story; I hope it didn't happen the way the author imagined.

Don't worry; it's not over. I'm interested to learn where Gaspar journies from here.
